The sky is the limit; I decided to join Kim’s newest challenge! This week’s theme is the sky. The image here is the sky over the pond where we lived in Indiana. I could have posted many other images, but picked this one, as it is a changing point.
Indiana for our family was the time of small children. Now the kids are all adults.
If I were sharing the current sky, I would focus I think on sky and water combination.
Oh, PS, I would also note one of my favorite songs is “Under a blood red sky” by U2. The second poem I ever published was “The last known painting of Skyler Blue.”
So beautiful and peaceful! Wonderful scenery!
beautiful i want to lived in indiana
Indiana is a nice place in the middle of the US. We lived there for many years.
I liked the combination in this photo.
Thanks! I was trying to show the sky and ground meeting.
Very nice photograph, love the reflection!
Thanks so much! It is an old picture reused a number of times!
Great photo and reflection Doc!
Thanks, Carol! Are you joining in for the challenge? You’ve posted some wonderful sky pictures in the past!!!!!
A man of many talents! Great shot, and I love that it’s a reflection of the sky. Thinking outside of the box! It’s a superb photo. I like the song as well, and have you shared the poem here and I missed it? Grins, that was a hint. Thank you for joining into the challenge!
I have not shared that poem here. It was published in a magazine called Ploughshares many years ago. I haven’t republished it since. I suspect the copyright they had is now long over.
I may, possibly post it here.
🙂
I didn’t know you were published, congratulations! You should share it.
Being published as a poet was my only writing goal early on. I managed to get into seven or eight different magazines.
I only write poetry for me now!
PS, due to last week’s government shutdown, I am operating two days ahead. It is in fact, Feb 1 for me right now!
Well… what can we say… It happens again. I do remember our President years ago when this happened criticizing the president then.. lol When the shoe fits.
Congratulations on being ahead of the ball!
When someone says ahead of the ball I always think of the first Indiana Jones movie and him running away from the giant boulder!
