Emotionally intelligent people know how to effect the behaviour of others.
Take this simple thing;
In the Dorm there are particular females who start ‘singing’ (term used loosely) in a loud and annoying manner.
If one plays a Led Zeppelin tune loud enough to drown them out, they shut up.
When the tune is finished, the ‘singing’ does not begin again.
Nothing is said to the caterwauling females. Simply playing a tune loud enough to drown them out is sufficient.
This kind of response is standard for emotionally intelligent people who will not bother to speak to the females, nor say anything to anyone.
No complaint is made, nothing to retaliate to… nothing happened.
The singing stopped.
