Speaking quietly, without emotion, as if describing an event was only peripherally aware of, Anton described the situation with Miss Varga at the previous office.
He spoke in generalities, then as if it were a matter of no importance:
“I heard that she would approach married men. Then claim they sexually harassed her. The atmosphere in the office was becoming poisonous.”
“Very much like what we are facing here.”
He nodded.
Ms Starkey sipped her coffee then informed Anton;
“I wish I could tell you that this situation is rare, but it isn’t.”
