Honeysuckle ~ Day 141

We had a freeze last night with temperatures in the 20s. A lot of the flowers are gone. But the Japanese honeysuckle blooms are getting ready to bloom, thankfully the vine on the fence survived. I snapped a photo while out walking around in the yard. Next week is suppose to bring warmer weather. We will see. I am glad to see this one survived. The birds, butterflies and hummingbirds love these blooms.

By the way, my last post would have been titled Day 140, instead of 139.

365 Photos Challenge and I am on Day 141.

  1. Carol you are certainly one of the post masters on this site. If the bees love the honeysuckle then the honey must something else. Honey flavours are based primarily on the plants that they pollinate from.

    • You are so kind Bradley, I do appreciate your comments. I have heard of a honey called Honeysuckle Honey. Never tried it but it is probably great. I remember honeysuckle growing up, we would pick the blooms are such the nectar as kids. Fun memories.

  2. That’s too bad that it froze and some of the flowers are gone now…..that happens with nature though. This is beautiful though! I hope the warmer weather does come and stay soon!
