Emily was a touch disappointed that Mike wouldn’t be with her at the trade fair but it was no trauma. She went to bed, woke, did her exercises, had breakfast, phoned a girlfriend who would meet her there at eleven.
Emily dressed, went to the venue a bit early to get a taste of it, then around eleven her friend showed up and they spent the rest of the day viewing everything, getting all the samples, then across to a restaurant where they caught up.
Emily spoke of her job, leaving out the people. Her friend spoke of her current events. Conversations between them had always been the Now without reference to Then..
Emily was home by eight p.m. She caught up on the news, her email, then went to bed. Sunday she devoted to house work then meeting friends for coffee and conversation.
