Friday in Black and White – On the street

Before I decide to shoot in black and white I first ask myself: What is the purpose of that photo? What I want to show? Are colors important in that photo? If the answer to the last question is “no,” then surely I will take the black and white photograph. Black and white photography is more expressive. Black and white photography is a state. Black and white photography often reflects thoughts and emotions.  Also, we must admit, the black-white photograph sometimes hides the small imperfections of a picture. As a general rule, I shot in B&W, on the street. I can find great subjects there! More of my Black &White pictures: Friday in Black and White – Hands at work

#4 old manual grinder

Our grandparents used this mechanism to sharpen the knives. I was surprised to see this young man with such an object in the back!
