Five (unscheduled) Flights a Day – 28

Junior walked to the subway station, but was feeling strange. He’d heard of subways, knew nothing about them.

He felt as weak and exposed as a newborn, so turned, walked back, saw an A & P supermarket, and went in, walked around, picked up a few things, paid, came out, continued to walk towards the playground, saw a delicatessen, went in.

He had a hot dog, didn’t know if he liked it or not, and went back to the flat.

He didn’t follow the ‘rules’ laid by Bagga, just walked up the stairs, opened the door, went in, cooked, ate some, left the rest covered, and sat and watched T.V.

He was lonely, so lonely.

Later that night he heard reggae, got up, dressed, came out.  Downstairs there was a party.

He walked down, stood by the open door.  Saw a few girls.  They weren’t pretty, but they were alive, so he smiled and spoke with them.
