I am combining Macro Monday with the Let’s Do More Challenge.
Carol DM posted a beautiful bird photograph last week and asked us to find the bird. I found the bird right away, so I kept looking for more. One of the leaves looked like a fairy, and an idea was born for Albert’s Challenge. I needed close up pictures and wanted to have some that were like Carols picture of a branch, but instead of a bird I thought I would put fairies from some clip art images I found in some close ups. I saved them for Macro Monday!
Here are the pictures and the process I went through.
#1 The Poison Ivy Fairy…
#2 The fairy by the lake.
#3 A fairy could hide in this silhouette.
#4 The fairy
I then open the picture in Paint. I then click on Select. I choose transparent back round.
Then I click on paste from clip board and pick the fairy clip art I have saved. I drag the fairy to where I want her.
Then I meld her in by clicking the color picker and the brush of my choice. I paint around her, to erase most of the white lines that are always left over around the clip art. I save it.
On the red leaves, you look so poisonous…
She’s gathering the wicked type of fairy dust…
Yes I do and how kind of you to mention my photo! 🙂
I had to, you helped!! You just had a real fairy in yours!
I feel very lucky that I never have got poison ivy
You might not be allergic to it Thomas, I am not. I can roll around in it, weed it, take naps in it. But I always got the job of weeding the banks by the river where I used to live.
I would love to have a fake one at my door to throw my neighbors off : )
I could totally see that. Hey, I know youve seen that sidewalk art that looks real. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a mural on a wall like that. I can see a forest of ivy and red roses, a person walking up to the wall and opening a tear in the wall to another world.
Thats a great idea. hahaha. Now where do you find a silk poison ivy plant??
It would actually be sweet to decorate a room in fake ivy and roses
Oh cool! I just found several by searching on Google. Has me wondering now.
Thats good to know, but I’ll pass on rolling around in it : )
