I woke up early in the morning because I knew the Cox guy is coming to put in the new phone upgrade. He hooked up the box to the internet, and hooked up one phone–the new Panasonic I recently bought from Office Depot–to the box as well as the new one also is plugged into surge protector on the floor. He took the second cordless phone and handset for this phone upstairs in my bedroom, and plugged it into the surge protector on the floor. I noticed my rotary French fancy phone now isn’t working. I went down the my studio, and I noticed the Toshiba cordless phone with answering machine is still working because I received an Apple message, where a computerized woman is warning Apple users that there is a hacker and we shouldn’t use our iPhone or Ipad. I don’t know what that is about. After some internet research, I went to Walmart to buy a long phone cord and triplex phone jack. I placed the triplex phone jack on the new phone internet modem, and I plugged the new phone into it. I plugged in my rotary French phone into the new modem, but there is still no sound. It is completely dead now. The French telephone was working upstairs in my bedroom before the new phone/internet modem was placed by my computer. I don’t know if I will be able to use this phone in my home again, or it will just be decor now.
It is 4 pm right now. I have a 4-mile hiking meetup at 6:30 pm at Turtle Rock community.
This new home telephone system upgrade is a mess, but I think it is all a part of the New World Order agenda. The guy said that all homes will get a new system, even with other service providers.
just ANOTHER way to scam our hard earned $ is all it is.
all the phone companies are doing the same thing…
well I can’t really say that about my phone comp
landline & cell cause the landline is always trying
to find ways to giving us breaks & my cell we have
is a cheap track phone where we pay 25$ every 3 months.
my iphone is with tmobile and my home phone is with cox. my tv and internet are also with cox.
we try to cut as many corners as we can the BEST we can.
I hate when that happens you think your getting something you can use & next thing
you know the other stuff don’t work for some reason so I don’t upgrade if I don’t have to.
i think we have to do it to their new system because their old system is too old. the people who aren’t going to upgrade with cox will probably get disconnected and have to find a new service provider elsewhere. i didn’t really have a choice.
see that we did with direct tv yrs ago & they were hiking
the bill up every 6 mos & we finally got away from them &
went with our local phone comp where we are done right.
I didn’t pay attention to Direct TV. I just have HDTV.
is it better? & is it CHEAPER?
i think hdtv is better because direct tv sound crap that they are pushing on the public. i am not sure who has direct tv.
this phone upgrade i did was free, but i think it is supposed to be mandatory because it said in the letter that if someone doesnt do it, they are likely to get disconnect or end up going to another phone service. so, i just decided to upgrade because i think all the phone services are the same crap anyway. i dont think one is better than the other. and at least it was free. but i think it is free because they might want you to buy other stuff to add on it later, like required stuff for whatever. i didnt take the extras.
