Can't Make it Right – 6

As the years passed  the children grew in their pattern. It was no surprise when David entered a top High School.

He did very well, giving his father boasting rights.

Three years later,  after Steven had jumbled through primary school,  he didn’t meet the entry requirements for that High School so was sent to an average one.  His father shrugged, saving the cash he would have had to spend on the tuition and other costs of a high level education.

David graduated at the top of his class, and obtained a scholarship to a significant college, and left town to live in the dorm.

With David gone, Eric tried to be the father to Steven. But Steven’s behaviour, his attitude,  made Eric miss David all the more.
