Blue Week in the Color Crazy Challenge

I have been behind in posting my walks and also the challenge. I missed green almost all together.

Last week I took a walk in a place called Elfin Forrest. We started off creek side and walked up this pretty steep incline to the hills above and saw some awesome wild flowers. Right now my favorite flower around here is blooming. It is the California Lilac and our hills become filled with this blue purple color. So there are some of those in here, and since I missed green week there are green images as well.

Enjoy the color, these are all blooming now in San Diego, California.

#1 This cute sign.

Reminding people to stay off the flowers and plants, and to stay on the trail.

#2 This variegated plant was so green.

There was a whole row of it with a green meadow behind it. The creek behind it.

#4 Blue sky above

The hills are either covered in green or flowers. The giant Coastal Live Oak stands proud. A fire came through this area, but this one survived.

#5 Closer look at the hill.

We have to climb that in a few minutes... Are you ready?

#6 Around the first bend in the trail

A beautiful California Lilac. It is well over 20 feet high.

#8 Closer.

It almost matches the sky. Blueness!

#10 Right before we head up the hill

there was one more Lilac Blooming, this was taller than the first one and looks like a tree.

I will save you the trouble of walking up the hill in my post Elfin Forest coming soon.

I hope you enjoyed the green and blues!  Have a great day.
