The teacher entered the classroom, looked around, introduced herself.
She wanted to do one of those alphabetical seating arrangements. Barry felt good, he’d predicted it. He hadn’t gotten comfortable, or taken a thing out of his bag.
He stood with others at the sides of the room as she began to go along the alphabet.
Barry was seated pretty much where he had been, only one seat back.
He listened to the names, those who seemed interesting got a bit more focus and he tried to memorise so that he would know who was who.
