Barry liked the shrug away style he had adopted.
The next day, when his folks went to work, Barry went to the City. He took the bus wearing a pair of shades so his eyes would be hidden.
He developed a method of seeming to be looking out a window or at a sign but actually studying those around him.
When he walked around town he used this method to get an understand of what and where and how so that he felt he knew what was going on, how he fit.
