The rent Mrs. Lopez had to pay for the larger flat was 1/3rd higher than what she had paid for her room and her ‘gift’ to Miss Brown.
However, as the school looked more official inside than on the A block veranda she got more students.
She increased her teaching hours to pay the extra rent and took on more students.
She ran classes from morning to night, and as her students came from wealthy families, there were always cars driving in and out, picking up kids, or parking and waiting.
Mrs Lopez was pleased with the bargain.
