This recipe may not sound good but it is, and there is a reason for me saying this.Carrot and avocado by itself in a smoothie would taste off balance, but add frozen peaches, pinapples, and even mangos to it, and BAM it taste awesome. My husband couldn’t taste the vegetables at all due to the fruit I had added. If you choose avocados, then put frozen apples in it, and it will balance out the flavors.
Wonderful smoothie. I used to squeeze my own carrot juice, but the Bolthouse Farms brand is so good that lately I have just been buying that. So yums.
Try this recipe of mine Ann Hartley, you will enjoy it.
why would you need to balance out avocado?
Because brother, if you do not use a fruit with the avocado the taste is not as appealing. I just added frozen peaches, pineapples and mangoes, and it turned out awesome.
I still don’t understand why you wouldn’t want to taste the avocado. Also, it is raining here and avocados might be on sale!
Because by itself the avocados would make the smoothie taste bitter, but by adding fruit the drink is full of sweet goodness. I eat avocados plain for the health benefits, but in a smoothie I add the fruit for taste. I just want the avocados for the health benefits not so much the taste when put in smoothies. I heard this from the Mr. Juice man.
Sorry, as a Californian I don’t understand not wanting to taste an avocado…
I love carrots in many different ways but not as juice. I do love avocados and I always make sure I have some on hand.
Try it RasmaaSandra for commenting.
You provide useful knowledge about fruit combinations, lady teacher.
Then, did I convince you tto try it. Ask your wife to make it for you. Thank you!
I would definitely recommend your recommendation to the authorities for that at home.
Hmm… sounds like great… !
But avocados are hard to choose
alibb, buy avocados that go in slightly when pressed on. You do not want them too hard or too soft.
Ok, noted! Thanks for the wonderful tip!!
🙂
Sounds interesting and healthy I am sure.
Thank you Carol, you really should try this recipe, it just is very refreshing.
