I visited my folks who live in an island away from us right after Christmas. It is something I regularly do but especially when I am leaving for a trip somewhere. I want them to see me alive and kicking just in case. Oh well, you know, for many years of gallivanting with my soul sisters, we had experienced some incidents – on the road, in the middle of the sea, up in the air – that made me think life can just end in a minute if fate wills it. Fortunately, we are not angels (duh, because the good die young) so, we are still here. Lol!
Anyway, while sauntering the beach I chanced upon this little guy in red shirt, happily watching life atop that driftwood and realized the simpleness and innocence of kids. How simple things make them joyful and content without worry about the morrow. I asked him if I can take a picture of him and he happily obliged with a peace sign pose. His name is Christian. When the brother saw me, he approached and so I took another shot with the two of them.
“There is some kind of sweet innocence in being human — in not having to be just happy or just sad — in the nature of being able to be both broken and whole at the same time.” ~QuotesGram~

Adorable little kids. You can see the innocence in their eyes.
True — kids are great gifts in this life
Awe, they are so cute. Great shots. They made me smile.
Kids are generally cute at this age. I love that light on his eyes — many grown ups smile but not with all the smiles in their heart
