365 Day photo challenge day 58

Today a picture from the corner of our kitchen. Two items in the picture were gifts from my mother. One was a gift from me to my wife. The rest are part of a baker’s shelf that we’ve filled with cookbooks. Starting above the baker’s rack is the picture, oil color of Beck Chapin on the campus of Indiana University, Bloomington Indiana. As a college student, I went there often to reflect and to think about things beyond the moment.

The pottery on the top shelf is something from Rowe Pottery Works. Located in Cambridge Wisconsin, it is a great pottery creator and one our family loves. Everyone in the family has a few different Rowe Pots. I guess it is one of our go-to things now!

The bear was a gift to my wife. The index card boxes are my mother-in-law’s recipes neatly organized on index cards! I suspect that I have as many recipes as my mother in law, but not many of mine are written down.
