I captured this while you slept
Through a fallen down house
I crept
Light through windows
A ghost on the wall
I Sought
A moment of peace
But I feel myself
Slipping softly away
Even after the mania
Fades
Even after the hours
Collide
The ghost between hours
In an empty house
A rich light on the wall
I’ve seen it a thousand times before
But I captured it tonight
While you slept
A ghost walks the hallways
Afraid to go back inside
We were awake for days
It felt amazing, alive,
funny you won’t notice
Me gone
Only a light,
A candle in a jar
That fades with the shudder
Of the cap
Closes all its light
Suffocating
In the silence
As the storm threatens outside
I love you,
I’ve loved you, for another few hours
Goodbye….
