Last week we had taken my mother and my sister to DJ’s, the team providing the catering for the upcoming Wadding. My daughter’s finance had not been, and he was able to come along with us. I noticed the Friday special was fish and chips. I asked DJ on the way out, “was that the special every week on Friday’s” he said that it was. I decided to come back Friday and well, have fish and chips. Every DJ serves he makes in the kitchen of the location. It is not a place you go, packed with people sitting and waiting. For the most part, DJ’s is a pickup and take the food with your kind of place. One of the twins came with me, and we got lunch for the three of us (one of the twins wasn’t feeling well).
Let me say two things:
- I have now been to DJ’s three times, and each time the food is beyond amazing.
- His coleslaw is the best I’ve found in the area, and I love coleslaw!
Anyone can join the photo challenge, and you don’t even have to take a picture of fish!
Love fish and chips and if you found coleslaw you like, stick with it. That is also hard to find.
I agree – good clam chowder, good coleslaw and good watermelon to me are the penultimate finds!
It is always enjoyable to find good food to suit the tastes of a place to eat.
It is, plus one of the twins was with me, we had a blast. Good food, good company!

I didn’t have dry ice so just shipped it as is, the dogs (based on the smell) will notify you when the soon to be rotten fish arrives!

Your photo makes want to eat fish and chips. It is hard to find good slaw isn’t it, but when you do you just have to praise it lol.
