We went to a new place for lunch on Thursday. It is a “strip mall” or open-air mall in Frederick Maryland. When I was a little kid, I used to go to an open-air mall in Cambridge Wisconsin. Back then they called it the street. The Francis Scott Key Mall, named for the man who wrote the Star Spangled Banner, has a traditional and a newer non-traditional mall layout. The cool thing was, as we were wandering around, they had buckets of these flowers everywhere. I only took one of the flowers, but there were 20 or more blooms per planter and a planter roughly every 20 or so feet. We were just wandering to see what stores were at this particular open-air mall. We had lunch in a place we hadn’t tried before. The food was good, and the place had huge screens with the World Cup on them. We watched the start of the Belguim vs. Brazil match.
Always fun to hang out and relax without the kids around!
Anyone can challenge photos. The question isn’t can you challenge them; it is can you do it every day!
It was a happenstance shot, just literally walked into the planter. My wife said, look at the beautiful flowers.
beautiful photo of hibiscus.
Thanks! They had ten, twelve planters along the road. Quite beautiful.
Boy, that one is a beauty!
I get lucky every once in awhile. Although, in fairness, my wife saw it first.
Did you go to the bridge? I miss Frederick.
We actually went to the bridge yesterday, not on the trip where we had lunch and got the picture.
Frederick is an awesome city.
One of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen.
I got very lucky, I literally almost walked into the flower pot!
