365 Day Photo Challenge Day 189

The two dogs Dylan and Raven who grace our house with their presence (Raven’s Lawyer informed me that when I shared information about her online I was to denote that she graced our presence and that we should note that and be glad) do not like Thunderstorms. They both tend towards extreme concern when the storms start. When my daughter moved out two years ago, we had converted her old bedroom into a guest room, and Lab storm shelter. Her moving back in derailed the Lab Storm Shelter but they both are willing to hide in my office. My office and the basement rec room (by law any room without a window can’t be a bedroom) are both in the quiet basement.

That means in the early morning when I arise to begin the blogging process; they are exhausted. Once upon a time, Raven would, a comfort-seeking missile of Lab love, literally seek comfort from everyone all night. As she has gotten older she is smarter, can do a little more self-soothing and is less needy. She still hates storms.

I don’t blame her. When I was little, I was terrified of storms. My father told me it was just giants bowling. I never had the heart to tell him that actually scared me more.

Do you have pictures you’ve taken in the last 7 days? Then join the fun and play along! Anyone can join the photo challenge. (just make sure you ask your dog’s lawyer if you post pictures of your dog). I didn’t even know my dog had a lawyer. I know now.

All pictures of Dylan presented with his permission. Cost of all Dylan pictures, one scrambled egg.
