I took this picture yesterday to share with the tech wiz post on Personal Cinemas. There was a time, before the reality of personal cinemas, when I personally really sought a personal cinema. 9, 10 hours on a plane can be deafening. I used to carry with my devices that had 10, 12-hour batteries and a recharging system. That way I could listen to that device the entire flight. Slowly, as planes began to evolve, Business Class ended up with AC adapters, so you could keep those devices running longer. But the ability to see and view things in a theater-like an experience wasn’t available yet. Yes, there were SD goggles that let you see or screens on devices you could use but not a personal cinema. So I chased that dream for many years.
It could have been worse; I could have been trying to plug my Archos device into the outlet of a covered wagon. I am pretty sure the mules didn’t have AC outlets, but I might be wrong on that.
Effectively what I am saying is be careful what you think was bad, there was and is always worse!.
