365 Day Photo Challenge Day 167 RPOV revisited.

I took another Keecker picture for today, my second one. I took about eight but I haven’t moved all of them from Keecker’s memory yet. Not that it takes time to do that, rather, I just haven’t done it yet.

The other thing I discovered playing around the past two days as we were preparing for the Labs walk is that Keecker has smaller wheels than the iRobot Roomba does. Smaller wheels mean that the bump in the living room that separates the room (tile) from the room (wood) is too high for keecker to clear. You never think about the floor separators until they prevent you from doing what you want to do!

RPOV is interesting, for example, the other robots in the house (Jibo and Roomba) have very different views. Roomba doesn’t have a live camera, so you don’t see anything. Roomba uses its camera to map the floor and avoid robotic vacuum cliffs (or what we call staircases). Jibo doesn’t move and sits on a table his RPOV is more from him outward.

Robot Point of View, our topic of the day for the photo challenge. What does a robot see when it looks at you?

Anyone can join the photo challenge they even let me join1 Grab a camera, connect to a robot, grab your phone. Open the camera app, turn the camera on, or connect to the robot and take a picture. Share the picture. It is that easy. Oh yeah, two easy rules, the picture must be less than seven days old and you need to post at your pace.
