A band-aid for a child. Or, one that I display in my office. I love the minions. Well, I love the children’s movies in the “Despicable Me” series. There was a time when my daughter was younger, and when my twins were younger that I could go to movies like that and it wasn’t strange. I have to report now that my children are adults, I still love those movies and watch them when I can, although I no longer go to the theater to see them.
I also have minions on my wall, a picture for another day.
I don’t know why movies like that still appeal to me. I loved them as a kid. I love them now. I think in fairness if I think “on it” for a bit it is the pure escapism. Knowing that there is more that is possible than what happens day to day. One of my escapes is heading away from shore, from technology and computers, to be on the water. I guess the other escape for me is going to movies that make me smile.
Anyone can join the photo challenge. You will take more pictures, and maybe provide smiles to another person!
Nothing wrong with liking these movies! They can be fun and nicely made.
Thanks! Ellie! I do love them. I couldn’t for the life of me tell you why but the minions make me laugh!
I have never watched any of the movies, but I have a friend who is obsessed with the minions. Now I am curious to check them out.
I’m sure we still love the part of ourselves that is still a child, forever…
Or at least accept that part of you is living rent free inside of you!
That is the most correct!
🙂 it is not the journey we take, nor is it the people we meet that matters to us in the end. It is the things we did not try. The risks we did not take that haunt us.
Do you feel haunted by that?
I do not feel haunted by the choices not made. I realized many years ago that my path was my path. If I lamented the choices not made, the risks not taken, I would remove the happiness and joy of the choices made.
