The Bear, my dog Dylan. Dylan was, is a lot of firsts in our family. He is the first male dog to live with us ever. He was the second mostly lab, but first lab mix to live with us. He was the first dog out the door when it came time for walks. Sometimes in the evening as the day winds down, and I am not moving along the Bear’s agenda, he sits next to me and tries to help me understand what I need to do. But mostly he comes to sit by me every evening as the day winds down for pets. Dylan is a very funny dog. When he wants pets, that when the petting begins.
Dylan continues the tradition we started with literary names for dogs. Technically he also began that tradition. Dylan Thomas is one of my favorite poets (I am also a huge fan of Maya Angelou and William Blake).
Anyway, this is the mighty D last night, preparing for his long winters petting. Also, since it was time for dinner, could I possibly call one of the twins down to make sure that the Labs got fed. Dylan and his sister have often been asked to go as long as 12 hours between feedings ?. Which in their world is 12 hours too long.

Why did the “handsome” Dylan’s look less cheerful?
There was a dispute between he and I over what time we were going for a walk. He tries earlier and earlier every day!
So, has now been approved a new agreement on that?
If you asked Dylan the answer to that is no, not approved. He would prefer that we get up, take a walk, then get ready for a second and third walk.
Maybe he invites you to exercise more often
What a handsome guy your Dylan is. Getting all spoiled as he should.
He thanks you for your kind words. He is glaring at me right now because I am not paying attention to him.
My cats are doing the same, makes me miss my cocker spaniel.
Dogs are special. Cats are also special, I am not as much of a cat person. I like a walking pal!
I have seen leashes on cats! ha that is funny. I love them both.
Hes handsome too! 12 hours? lol the horror….
We figure at this point we are extremely lucky niether of them A knows the number to the SPCA and B neither can dial the phone!
