I have a few things on my second desk in my office that is collectibles. They collect a lot of dust frankly. Yesterday I shared the model Bus my grandfather gave me when he returned from London. Today is another decoration just a little over from the bus, and one that was given to me many years ago when I was teaching school.
It has some pens I have collected over the years. These are not hotel pens or borrowed bank pens but pens given to me, at various places I worked over the years. The holder was given to me by a student in my first or second year as a public school teacher.
My new thumb free streak has made it to 6 days! (Ie, the first one was a joke.)
Anyone can join the photo challenge! Pictures must be less than seven days old, which will get you taking more pictures I promise!
What a great gift to remember your students. I am sure you were well loved as a teacher.
I still communicate with some of my students. I actually started my podcast because years ago I used to tell stories about twins to the kids of my class. We (myself and the kids) called them Fred and Ed stories. Little did I know it was foretelling of the future. Anyway, one of my former students reached out because they wanted to share the stories with their kids. So I created my podcast. I don’t do Fred and Ed stories often, but I do still from time to time share them.
