This is #29 of the 365 day Photo Challenge. Just aim, shoot, and share a photo for 365 days. This is a photo of the weather conditions before arriving to our Colorado destination.
Many of you know my husband and I went to Colorado for a Baptism. We are lucky we made it there, due to weather conditions. There was not much snow, but it was very cold, and the roads were icy at times, and the snow would drift and blind us. The interstate soon was shut down for over three hours. Then, when we got back on the highway, cars etc was going 35 on a 75 due to road conditions. Many cars put there flashers on, to warn others they were going slow. We had to drive 35mph for over three hours. The road conditions kept us alert. Cars were sliding, and snow drifts would blow in our directions blinding us. Thank God we made it to Colorado safely. We finally reached safe traveling the rest of the way to Colorado. That was scarey!

I remember the difficult winter days in my native Bulgaria. But now here in Torrevieja Spain the winter is very warm. I’m glad the trip was safe.
Thank you lacho59 for visiting. Great to see you!
Welcome back home… There is no place like home.
Thank you mavic123456, and yes there is no place like home.
I dread the ever approaching snow. It has only hit us once this winter. You can literally shut down the DC highways with a single snowflake!
Thank you Doc for your insight. It was frightful!
I remember driving across the midwest one winter from Bloomington IN to Hot Springs Arkansas. We made it about 1/2 ways when a storm hit. We ended up spending the night in a hotel, we couldn’t drive any further. At one point the road and the not road looked exactly the same!
Glad you made it home safely.
Thank you Carol, and I am so glad to be home.
