Ghostwriter
We have been preparing for Valentine’s Day. It is so much fun to go to the nursing home and take the flowers. We bring them during lunch. While they are enjoying dessert, we sneak to their rooms so they can find them when they go back. Each resident gets flowers. Carnations are my husband’s favorite so that is what we do and we order a variety. It’s a tradition. Sometimes we are out of town and pass the task off to some friends and other times we all do it together. This year it’s just the two of us and we are excited.
There is something extremely satisfying about reaching out to others. There is so much hate and drama in the world. Sometimes I wish I could just block it all out and live the peaceful life I desire. I don’t understand the need for the commotion. I will be pleased when the elections are over and perhaps the politicians will learn to be respectful.
Tomorrow will be busy so I guess I better get a head start. Have a great day.
doing things for others is always a wonderful feeling. Had never thought of doing this – what an amazing idea.
We have been doing it for several years. It helps us to spend some time together doing something that is not about us.
that is a wonderful way to move the world forward! we just sat in a freezing cold restaurant and enjoyed our dinner (but it was cold!)
