The Remembrance Sunday Parade in Great Yarmouth

On Sunday 10th November was the Remembrance Service in the park in my town, Great Yarmouth.  Although it was a cold day, it was dry.  We did have a small shower at the beginning of the service, but it stayed dry for the rest of the service.  It was nice to see so many people in the park to come and pay their respects.  To the left of the picture you can see the band.  I got there quite early so I could grab myself a good spot by the war memorial.

The service lasted about an hour, and as I say, it was lovely to see a good amount of people there.  We must never forget what our ancestors did for us during the 2 world wars and, of course, in wars still being fought around the world.

  1. Armed Forces in all countries should be honored. Today we had Veteran’s Day and back in Latvia, it was Lacplesa or Bear Slayer Day which I wrote about. It is a traditional day honoring Latvian soldiers who fought for their country and also has a military parade. While living there I had forgotten that is on the same day as Veteran’s Day
