Tall Ships Races, Lithuania

Every year, in summer, there is going Tall ship races in my city Klaipeda, Lithuania. At the same time, our city celebrates the day of the sea and it is also the Birthday of our city. For this occasion, there come many yachts from all corners of the world. Some come many years already as they like our feast, some are new, but you can meet barquentines, yachts from any corner of the world. Although, then most come from the Europe countries.

Last summer, there were such barquentines as SORLANDET from Norway, built in the 1927 year, the SHTANDART from Russia, the SHABAB OMAN II from Oman, the SEDOV from Russia built in 1920 years, the ROYAL HELENA from Bulgaria, the ROALD AMUNDSEN from Germany built in 1952 years,  the POGORIA from Poland, the MORGENSTER from Holand, built in 1919 years, the MIR from Russia, the SANTA MARIA MANUELA from Portugal, the LA GRACE from Chech, the KRUZENSHTERN from Russia, built in 1926, the GROSSHERZOGIN ELISABETH from Germany, built in 1909, the FRYDERYK CHOPIN from Poland, the EENDRACHT from Holand, the CISNE BRANCO from Brazil, and so on. All they are of A-Class. There also were a plenty yachts from B-class, C-class,  and D-class.

It is spectacular performance and many citizens and guests of the city come to see this performance. A day before races, you can visit any yacht and enter the living premises. The staff with a pleasure show the yacht premises and tell its story.
