Reminiscing and Chilling While Drinking Herbal Coffee

Tuesday, October 22, 2019

I entered IMVU to notice a Halloween countdown gift. The first gift is a Halloween home. It is small and dark, with balconies as well as surrounded by water. There is a huge full moon in the background. I added a couple of lawn furniture in the front area. It is difficult to add anything inside this gazebo-like home.

I took some snapshots but I didn’t upload anything to my hard drive. Maybe later after I receive more items for the Halloween countdown gifts.

I added this snapshot from a recent walking meeting group at Turtle Rock neighborhood. As I walked different meetup groups, in Woodbridge and Turtle Rock areas, I noticed people I starting to put up their Halloween decorations. I am not sure if I will put up any this year. As I get older, I seem to do less decorations.

As I was drinking my Teeccino Herbal Coffee this afternoon, I noticed I am drinking in my mug I received at a Chamber of Commerce event, where I often did volunteer work during the nineties.

As I check out the logo, I reminisce all the networking events I attended, socializing with business people, mostly small business owners, who encouraged and pressured me to go back to school and get my MBA. But it was fun, meeting a lot of people and making new friends in business. I also ran into an aunt who works at these Chamber of Commerce events. I did meet one business owner, who I eventually ended up working for her as a PR Intern, inside her small office space.

I remember that particular OC Women’s Conference event was  like a “Networking Reunion,” where I ran into many business people I know, and we just hung out together, chatting and laughing about old times, during the early 90s.

  1. Halloween is not something I have ever got particularly excited about. In my youth it was almost totally ignored by most people in the UK, who much preferred to celebrate Bonfire Night on 5th November.

Halloween is just another American import that we could well do without!
