The Proud and Patriotic Fire Truck

These are pictures of an old yellow-greenish fire engine on the Fourth of July in the quaint town of Cherry Valley, Illinois, USA. The vehicle is dubbed “no longer in service,” for it is not used in fire drills or emergencies. It is a mainly a display piece, and it is being maintained and cared for very well. The truck was brought out and decorated with American flags specifically for the celebration of Independence Day. The fire engine’s ladder had been extended and attached to the top of it was a huge flag. It was a beautiful sight.
