Abbey road 50th anniversary, 50 years later hits number one album again across the pond. It’s pretty amazing the music it still relevant today. It seem like a great time to listen and enjoy the remix. Today while I am writing and listening to music, it will be the remix album that I will be listening to. (It might be the only way that I can even stay awake.
In case you have forgotten the members were members were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
How were many of us introduced to the group? The Beatles appeared on “The Ed Sullivan Show” on Feb. 9, 1964 to a live audience of 73 million, or about three-quarters of the total adult audience in the U.S.It was the highest live audience ever at the time. (I was told I was watching it. I have no recollection.)
I do think it is interesting when things come full circle.
My wife got to see them in concert twice. I say “saw” because she could’t hear a thing.
It’s a coincidence that I’m playing the Beatles collection.
Classic band and songs live on today.
I was never a great fan of the Beatles – my opinion has not changed since the 1960s!
Then by all means don’t celebrate with those of us who appreciate their talents.
I got an AM/FM radio when I was 8, that was the first time I heard the Beatles. Yellow Submarine (Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club band) is a personal favorite still!!!
My mother threatened to put me in a yellow submarine if I didn’t learn how to behave.
