May 4th and 5th are big days for us. We prepare for this day and festivities. We meet friends and enjoy the weekend.
Of course it includes a derby hat and this year mine was designed by my husband. We are ready for the all the upcoming news. The Oaks is the race the day before the Kentucky Derby when the phillies run. We love to watch the ladies as well. (Sometimes its the better race.)
Then Saturday is a full day of raced before the derby runs. Most of us don’t pick the same horses. If there is a gray with a twotone tail, will catch my eye.
The entries are not final yet and post pick could play a big part in the race. Keep an eye out and you might just find out who I think will take all the glory.

I just love watching horse races. I used to go a lot when I lived in NYC and my dream has always been seeing the Kentucky Derby.
