Today, August 17, 2018, my country commemorates 73rd Independence Day. All people in various parts of Indonesia with 33 Provinces in 17,504 islands have celebrated it with various enjoyable and encouraging ways such as organizing various activities and the unique competitions, apart from official ceremonies at all levels government or organization.
Of course it is important to get involved with various community activities around our respective residences, but we also have a special habit about this Independence Day which is where my family and I, along with my mother and every family of my siblings chose to visit the tomb my father before then joined as a member of the community. Of course, you know the reason, because our father is our family hero too, besides the hero for his country, our country.
Wow. It is nice to know that we like us you also commerate your heroes as well. Cheers to your father.
Thanks, Mavic.
Yes, of course, my friend. If not us then who will commemorate our heroes, mostly, especially if the hero was our father, right?
Btw, how you or your country commemorate the heroes?
Thank you for sharing this memorable post. Glad to see you back

Btw, it seems like your friends love Indonesia too.
First off, I am a fan! You know me, I love family history projects. This is a great one! Remember those who walked before us for they made the path upon which we walk.
I am honored that you shared this with us, Albert. May your independence remain a holiday!
You’re right, Doc. Their blood spills on the path we live, other than those that flow in our body and memory.
Nicely said Albert, nicely said! The history we have is paid for by the blood of those willing to challenge the system of the past.
Good to see you Albert. This is a great way to remember those who fought for your country.
Good to see you too, Carol.
Thanks.
We think it’s important and feels happy to respect the independence that they, our heroes, have championed, right?
Indeed Albert, indeed. It is the least we can do.
