Christmas tree decor styles

The origins of the Christmas traditions that we see today are considered to be the 19th century. The beginning, when the future Queen of England Victoria married the German Duke. After the merger of German and English traditions, for the first time, a stylized Christmas symbol – the Christmas tree – was born.

The graphic design of a decorated Christmas tree printed in the newspaper has spread throughout Europe just in several years, and after a few more years was reprinted in America. This painting soon began to materialize in many Christian homes, giving birth to the tradition of Christmas decorations.

Unbelievable, however, traditional Christmas tree toys that decorate many homes every holiday are the work of German glass factories. The factory’s stylized toys were soon noticed by major importers in the world, including the first US-based giant of marketing Woolworth. Soon, these first elements of ornamentation spread throughout the world.

Stylized Christmas decoration traditions became definitive after World War II when home decoration became not only a tradition of nobility but became accessible to every home. Now, we have plenty of styles for decorating our Christmas trees.
