Christmas in France

Sunday, December 24, 2017, 7:48 pm on Christmas Eve in Southern Cali

While on YouTube, I checked out this video about Christmas in France, which got me thinking about different holiday celebrations in different countries. Some people have traditions while others are very simple. My 2-week Christmas holiday was simple, in which I ended up spending most of the two weeks in bed, especially during college because lack of sleep during my exam week. So, I had to recuperate in bed with the flu in order to re-energize myself for the rest of the year. During my teen years, it was mostly spent at some relatives’ house in a family reunion. It was an interesting but annoying time, in which I learned to zone out certain people in order to be tolerant to others, which is actually a good skill to have in life. But, after college, I mostly go to a movie, if I don’t have anything planned or if I didn’t receive any invitations.

But I remember when my parents were alive, I mostly got basket gifts, Harry & David gifts, and lots of PJs, robes and slippers during Christmas. I also filled my pets stockings with toys and treats, for my late pets when they were alive, as well as Gumby. But I don’t think he needs anything this year. He is a very content cat. All he wants is food.

I googled Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in different languages, and I copied some of them for fun. I hope a covered everyone in Virily. If I didn’t, then you can add you country version in the comment area.
