Haze Mabry who has served 13 years at Pike County Elementary School in Zebulon Georgia received the surprise of his of life when he celebrated his 80th birthday in late March.
The students at the school received the custodian who loves the students like his own children showered him with gifts, best wishes and singing happy birthday to him when he came to work on that special day.
It goes to show all of us that if we all plant seeds of love to people we work with in our workplace, especially if there are young men and women that look up to you since you spread some good cheer, it will come back to make your day happy once again.
My congratulations to Haze Mabry for his excellent service at the elementary school for the last 13 years. May he continue to have success showering his students with love and good cheer for many more years to come.
such a poetic turn of phrase you have
Never give up doing great deeds in life.
indeed you will live a happier life that way
Because I remember a self help book written by the guy who wears question marks on his coat saying something like “Doing nothing” is the worst feeling in life.
long term, that may be the case. short term, doing nothing can be delightful…
Thank you Lacho59 for adding one great phrase to this story.
Such a happy celebration, well deserved.
It really is a great way to thank a custodian who has been a positive role model for his students.
What a wonderful story, that is great
My pleasure to share these wonderful stories on this site.
what a wonderful story, sometimes when people make a difference knowing others felt the difference is everything!
You have a great point there. Haze has provided happiness to the students at his school.
he has, that is a wonderful gift to give!
Just because he is a custodian does not mean he does not enjoy being a positive role model for the kids.
When I was a teacher I enjoyed working with the custodians, they kept everything in the school running!!!
People who have positive ways of living assist others to follow their example.
sometimes when dealing with all the negativity, it is nice to remember the happy things!
I would add something to this phrase: “If all of us plant seeds of love for people, then the world would be different.”
