A simple and easy way of saving is to track your expenses. When you track your expenses, you come to know what is draining your money, which expenses you can avoid and where you can save. A simple tool to do this is to keep a spending book.
A spending book is a small notebook or a diary where you write down your daily expenses- right from fuel to groceries to entertainment to clothes- every little bit you spend. At the end of the week, you can sum up the expenses and have a reality check on what you are left with for the rest of the month. Then you will spend accordingly and more or less stay within the budget. At the month end, review your daily spendings and check where you can save and do cost-cutting.
