In relation to a Boss from Hell, a clear clue is pontificating. By this I mean some long babble as if he is the world’s leading expert giving a paid lecture.
The reason for all this verbiage is to elevate himself. Elevate himself as some expert to impress and control you.
Your first thought, when he starts his babble might be why is he giving this lecture? You might think there is something you need to hear.
After a few moments you begin to wonder why he is doing this.
Many BfH want to capture your mind, want you to be a fawning acolyte. They need you to believe everything they say, and defer. If you think he is ‘all that’ you will believe he has some ‘right’ to ‘discipline’ you.
Realise, the Boss from Hell is not trying to inform or educate, he is simply showing power.
After the first speech,, take it as a warning, and prepare to leave.
It gets worse.
