There are times in a business where it needs to cut back. Profits aren’t what they were expected, the economy is not moving, etc.
The biggest mistake, in fact hanging a weight around your neck and jumping into the ocean is wiser, is to obviously ‘Cut Back’.
Customers/clients should not know that your business is taking a hit or proactively constricting.
Once they see that ‘downsizing’ or ‘elimination’ or whatever, they ‘jump ship.’
No one wants to arrive at a business and see a ‘closed’ sign. So before that sign goes up, if there are signs of closure, the customer/client will find another venue.
Be secretive if you are cutting back, so that it doesn’t look like you are cutting back.
