There are times in a business where it needs to cut back. Profits aren’t what they were expected, the economy is not moving, etc.
The biggest mistake, in fact hanging a weight around your neck and jumping into the ocean is wiser, is to obviously ‘Cut Back’.
Customers/clients should not know that your business is taking a hit or proactively constricting. If they can actually see that ‘downsizing’ or ‘elimination’ or whatever, they will ‘jump ship.’
No one wants to arrive at a business and see a ‘closed’ sign. So before that sign goes up, if there are signs, the customer/client will find another venue.
Be secretive if you are cutting back, so that it doesn’t look like you are cutting back.
Good advice for companies out there.
It is very important that companies don’t broadcast financial problems to save customers
