Are You Creating A Potential Disaster?

Would you believe me, when I say, you can create a potential catastrophe if you get preoccupied with too much detail on several areas at once.

I will use the investigation of a 1985 China Airlines Boeing 747 crash, to prove my. The plane rolled through 360 degrees, then flipped over, during which, nearly half of its tail-plane was ripped off by the incredible G forces exerted through the Vandoeuvre which brought pressures to bear, of which amounted to 5 times 747’s laden weight.

The accident investigation team concluded that Captain Ho had become so bogged down by mainly inconsequential checklist details, he forgot to fly the plane! Most of what he was doing, should have been delegated to his competent crew.

Take care, when you embark on a new project, that you don’t get so involved with the theoretic detail, that you forget entirely to do the work you set out to do.
