When the Board found out that Selma Rashford Grindley was dying in a bed at Miriam House, they turned to their new President, Elvis March.
Elvis wanted nothing to do with it, and considering it ‘penance’, tossed it at Paul Mollusk, his Vice President, and left town.
Mollusk, who had ripped them off with bills for painting and electrical work, which was unnecessary, would now have to deal with the Selma issue.
When Selma died, Paul thought the problems were over. Then, came Joe Rashford Grindley’s virtual refusal to relinquish the keys to Miriam House, and remove his mother’s junk so that they could hire a new Matron.
Mollusk, left with all the problems, being contacted almost daily by Fran Alman, the office worker, who was filling in as Matron, while being insulted by Joe Rashford Grindley decided he had enough.
Paul Mollusk resigned from the Board.
