I love checking my heart rate prior to finishing a workout because it gauges the effort I put during the workout. It is funny how you learn so much the longer you have been doing something. Back when I first started my fitness journey, it was all about working out to perform better, but now since learning about heart rate Im headed towards wanting to perform to my highest capabilities.

I feel that your heart rate can tell you a lot about what level you can or cannot accomplish that day because every day is different, and it also stems from what fluids and food you put into your body each day.
