  • 20 Sit ups
  • 20 Second leg raise hold
  • 1.01 Mile run – 167 heart rate
  • 100 Jumping jacks
  • 50 pound repeats of 20 Squats
  • 30 Push ups
  • 20 Jumping jacks
  • 30 Alternating toe touches
  • 50 pound repeats of 30 Squats
  • 30 Sit ups
  • 15 Second leg raise hold
  • 30 pound repeats of 20 Chest press
  • 50 pound repeats of 20 Chest press
  • 70 pound repeats of 15 Chest press
  • 30 Sit ups
  • . 30 Mile cool down run

I enjoyed this workout because it involved many exercises that I can do without machines! One piece that I definitely enjoyed was my sit ups and leg raises which the leg raises I transitioned to from the sit ups to put more stress on my abdominal muscles for burn.  Oh, and another thing I enjoyed was the squats, which I occasionally add to my workout routines. The burn in my quads felt absolutely amazing!

Going into my second week of the semester, I have noticed that both Wednesday and Friday are solid days that I have enough time to get a gym workout in because the other days I’m either at my internship site, work, or school, so getting into the gym is not easy. I can easily substitute running on the treadmill with running in place, doing stairs or either jumping jacks in order to have something to do comfortably in my apartment building in-between my commitments. Just thinking of other creative ways to workout, so that my transition outdoors in the late spring, and summer months will not be so brutal.
