How Abusers Abuse Themselves – part 15

People who lock themselves into rituals of no value, of no particular sense, are Abusers.

The fact the Abuser does not have a separate victim does not change or end his pattern of Abuse.   He inflicts his regiment on himself.

The Abuser creates rules he must follow.  No matter what it costs him in family or friends or even promotion at work, his rules must come first.

The Abuser  can not recognise that his behaviour is the reason he is alone. He must persist in his ‘regiment’ to ‘prove’ that he was ‘right’.

Without that separate victim to punish, he punishes himself.  He sets himself limitations and denials.

He does not whip himself physically, were he to do that he would appreciate his problem.   He punishes himself emotionally, intellectually, spiritually.  He denies himself that which would please him.
