It’s Healthy to keep active, but don’t do it just for that, out door activity is refreshing and don’t do it to look good. Do it because it’s something you enjoy.! Enjoyment is good for your health just as being active.

“An apple a day keeps the Doctor Away!” Eat what you enjoy but include, fruit and vegetables. Don’t restrict your diet to meat pies and fish and chips. You can eat in moderation. Include plenty of vegetables and a huge variety of that. If you have plenty of fresh food. Vegetables and fruit should play a major part. Especially greens. Mum always believed in green vegetables.

When you have a wide variety of fresh food, you don’t need drawers of vitamin tablets.

Garlic is good for a healthy blood pressure. You don’t have to have it if you don’t like it.

Variety is the spice of life when it comes to food. Health should not bore you to death.

A good belly laugh is extremely beneficial! Never lose your sense of humour!

I believe in walking every day. It’s great to get fresh air, doesn’t have to be an endurance test, just enjoy the scenery. I always feel better after a walk.

Be gentle with yourself, I don’t believe in punishing the body to be healthy. Do a little more but don’t over do it, otherwise it will return to bite you in the bum.

For an upset stomach take less than a quarter teaspoon of baking soda in warm water, drink slowly. Another is the drink the vegetable juice with meals – it has healing properties and won’t do you any harm. You can also drink peppermint tea and put some fresh mint leaves with your boiled vegetables if you have it.

Drink plenty of fluid with a cold. Plenty of fresh clean water in very hot weather helps you avoid heat stroke.

Dock plants will take the sting of nettle away from you if you get stung by nettles. If you get stung by blue bottle fish in the water, vinegar eases the sting.

For sore throats and colds, gargle warm very salty water, it’s cheaper than the chemist shop.

Itchy dry eyes or irritated eyes, close your eyes and hold a warm wet flannel to them and massage around the sticky area. At the very worse, bathe in a mild solution of salt or epsom salts. You don’t need expensive things.

Lastly, cleanliness is next to Godliness! Keep your hands clean. Put a hand over your mouth or nose if you sneeze. Keep food areas clean.

Be careful to cook chicken and pork, throughly and don’t eat them raw. They are both dangerous meats.

Don’t sew with pins in your mouth, it’s dangerous to swallow them.

Use gardening gloves in the garden and don’t inhale the fumes of potting soil. People have gone to hospital with legionaries disease from potting soil.

Take care with art materials they can be poisonous. Clean up afterwards.

Enjoy your life! If you can’t take in all those instructions! Never mind go and buy yourself some fish and chips! Its harmless once in a while.
