Every woman, every man – join the caravan of insulin???? What????!!!! Pharmaceutical companies in the USA are out of control. Big pharma is looking to make so much profit that they have raised the price of insulin to astronomical numbers. The prices are so high that people in the Midwest travel to Canada on chartered tours to buy insulin so that they do not die from rationing insulin to treat their diabetes.
In Canada, a vial of insulin is around $25-$30 (USD). In America, the price for a vial of insulin can range from $400 to $2,500 (USD). At these prices, the caravan of insulin will continue to head north over the Canadian border.
I think American pharmaceutical companies should be ashamed of themselves. This is heinous.
This is pretty bad, which is why President Trump passed an executive order to have the pharmaceutical companies tell their pricing up front.
This is not normal. I find it hard to understand because there is no need to pay for insulin in our country.
Insulin is so easy to make, but the big drug companies in America buy up the entire supply throughout the country, so they are able to drive the price way up.
