Art of Meditation

I write a lot about meditation as this has been a life-transforming habit for me. I still remember the first day of my basic course with Art of Living. Towards the end of the session, we were made to do Panchkosha meditation in Gurujis’s voice. That was the first time I meditated and it was such a beautiful experience. Words are not enough to describe the experience. Since then I have been meditating on a regular basis.

My spiritual master H.H. Sri Sri Ravishankar Ji says that meditation is the food for soul. So true! Meditation helps in bringing peace and calm. After meditation practice, you are in such a calm and blissful state. For someone like me who tend to stress a lot, meditation is a blessing.

I generally do guided meditations. My favorite guided meditations are Panchkosha, meditation, Niranjan Dhyan and Blossoms of life. I also like to do Hari Om Meditation or Chakra meditation in which we take attention to the seven chakras or energy centers in the body. The links to these meditations are available on youtube and you can try meditating using those videos. Meditation is such a lovely experience that you will want to do it again and again once you get a taste for it.
